really looking good! one note - wifi lights - check the manfacturer for their security settings - there are a lot of people getting their home networks hacked by people exploiting the low default security settings on their "smart" lights (as well as other "smart" products).

rew waterfall - how does this look?
without the REW file or more views of other diagnostics, it would appear there is a lot of LF and low mid energy being retained as well as several modes in those ranges which are also not tempered.

Exposed joists appearance
or fill the joist space with insulation (you'll still have the acoustic height), then add some strips to each joist for the "joist look". in a room i'm working on now, we're going inside with 9-1/2" i-joists for the ceiling frame and adding 2x4 on the edges later for the "open jo...

Seeking Advice on Drum Room Location
one option is to test your theory on the sound level from your kit. and sicne i'd say do this in your garage to start - measure the levels of everything as-is - inside, outside the door and walls of the garage, and the neighboring lot line. then build a decoupled drum platform and repeat the tests. ...

my thought on load bearing - what is supporting your inside-out ceiling? if the inside-out is part of your exterior then that is a different level of isolation. otherwise you need to support the ceiling structure :-) my general go-to is 1x plywood or OSB sheathing on the frame, and 2x type-x drywall...

Where to find the REAL SketchUp
sadly the Trimble folks are not making it cost effective for casual users of Sketchup. there are some downloads for SU 2017 that people use (but not sure i trust those links), but anyone sharing files or components will need to use a plugin to create a compatible file if they're on a more advanced v...

you don't need to use resilient strips if you're building a separate wall from the concrete (in fact doing so can reduce the effectiveness). but yuo will still have to decouple the floor from the drums - step 1 - build a decoupled drum platform. right away you will significantly reduce the amount of...

generally speaking, if you're doing the fully decoupled walls - do a properly decoupled ceiling - i.e. the inner walls are load bearing and the ceiling is part of that overall mass boundary. resilient channel or clips + hat channel are less effective. consider making the exterior boundary with somet...

very very nice! clean look and seems like a good balance with the scattering and refletive devices vs plain old absorption.

the spacing should be determined by the acoustic behaviour. so if the 3" space works - ok, if not, does it work better at 4" or 6"? thus the short chain trick to make it adjustable. a soft plastic tube around the chain to keep it stable and limit any vibration.

i like to run a 1x4 spanning the trusses. then i can easily hang things because i'm not constrained by the truss positions. i'd make it 9 hooks into the 1x4s and then a short chain from the ceiling hook to the cloud so you can position it - you may find raising or lowering the cloud provides a benef...
