This film was made in 1962. I think it's pretty cool that acousticians knew this stuff 60 years ago!

Both doors are padded on both sides. As pointed out in Rod Gervais book, this significantly increases sound isolation over the midrange. Helpful for isolating vocal frequencies, even the sonorous tones of Sean Connery.Top secret high isolation briefing room!
