:D Yes, indeed...after installing the plug and the light, I tested the Wi-Fi and turned on the light, but I forgot to take a picture... :? I promise to post an update when it's installed! :shot:

Thanks Glenn. I really appreciate your help. Initially, I considered putting brick or stone on the TV wall to add texture to the room and aid in acoustic treatment (perhaps some diffusion). My interior designer suggested wood slats instead to add warmth to the room. The wood slats wall would have ap...

I documented this in the thread about my build (here https://www.digistar.cl/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1241 ) but I'm posting it here too in case it might be useful to someone. I used the box that came with a bottle of Porto, which includes a sliding plexiglass window. Recording 1.PNG Cutting ou...

7385 no such thing as a bass trap which is too big :yahoo: Actually, I would place them vertically like in a wall. By placing a piece of insulation horizontally, the height of the insulation is just high enough (the space is 22.5 inches and the insulation is 23 inches, so the insulation is compress...

Finally, I found that drywall helps cut the sound of the ducts where the duct enters the studio. So, I'm going to put about 12 feet of fabric just in the middle of the soffits.

Hi, before reading your post of October 23, I had already almost finished the drywall on the sides... :ahh: ...fortunately, it didn't cost almost anything because I used most of the leftovers from the walls. I only bought a 4x10 sheet. :| The drywall is installed in sections of 48 inches or less, so...

Here's how the ducts are installed: In the left soffit, there's the return grille preceded by approximately 3 feet of acoustical flex and approximately 2 feet of hard duct at the wall outlet. duct1.JPG In the right soffit, there are 3 supply grilles (blue = hard, green = flex). At the wall exit, the...

No, it's the space above the two storage that I'm going to fill with Rockwool for using as bass traps.

The soffits are filled with wool but closed with 5/8 drywall to soundproof the air ducts.

Hello...Glenn! ;) Here's the work we've done since my last update. We first completed the soffit and storage structure. Before building the soffits, I plastered the part covered by the soffits (wall and ceiling), about 16 inches. Plastrage soffit.JPG soffit1.JPG soffit2.JPG Then we installed drywall...

Thanks! You're right, they're the video monitors. But they won't be placed as shown in the plan. Last year I did a simulation with my equipment and by placing the video monitors at the back of the desk, I can place the studio monitors even with the video monitors or slightly further forward.

I know that I'm not yet at the stage of testing the room to determine the necessary acoustic treatments, but I think I'll definitely need some bass traps. Since I have some unused space above the two storage areas, I thought I could use that space to put some bass traps. I'm setting the ceiling heig...

Thanks Glenn. In the end, I bought them.

I plan to place them on either side of my desk, which is 6 feet wide. Behringer says they are near-field monitors. If the sides of the triangle measure 7 feet, will that be okay?

Thanks Glenn. The doors are on separate frames. After thoroughly protecting the indoor unit, we finished applying the second layer of drywall in the corners (around the ductwork, not yet sealed). I installed backer rods and applied sealant to seal the door frame on the studio side, and then we finis...

We started framing the box above the doors so we can install the indoor unit. The contractor came to install it yesterday. ...
